The Jewish Womens Health website, designed for women and their health professionals, is a community service of Nishmat: The Jeanie Schottenstein Center for Advanced Torah Study for Women. The purpose of the site is to clarify issues in the interaction between Womens Health and Jewish law (halachah), to enable medical practitioners to provide optimal care to their patients who observe these rules.

The Jewish Womens Health Site and App are outgrowths of the Nishmat Womens Health and Halacha Website, http://www.yoatzot.org. The rabbinic advisor for the site and app is Rabbi Yehuda Henkin; the medical advisor is Deena Zimmerman, MD, MPH, IBCLC, one of the first graduates of Nishmats Keren Ariel Institute to be certified as a Yoetzet Halacha, a Woman Halachic Advisor. Dr. Zimmerman has authored the articles on the site and app unless otherwise noted.
